Mind Matters Schools nurture resilient minds, make space for open communication, and facilitate emotional understanding in education settings so children can thrive
In the UK we’re experiencing a Mental Health crisis. Our children need prioritising, with prevention at the forefront of creating change to tackle this crisis. We provide teachers with strategies to alleviate stress, and support pupils, promoting the well-being of the entire school community.
Our work in schools
We offer a whole school approach, implementing a strategy that embeds a combination of coaching modalities, wellness practices, and educational workshops. Our work interlaces visual, auditory, read/write and kinesthetic ways of learning.
Our method aims to integrate 7 of the 8 principles of a whole school approach to promoting healthy minds and wellbeing as compiled by the Department of Education alongside Children and Young Persons Mental Health Coalition.
Welcome to Mind Matters Schools, where education transcends conventional boundaries.
At Mind Wellbeing, we partner with schools to weave our ethos and values into the fabric of their communities. Our schools are pioneers, actively choosing language that fosters inclusivity and cultivates environments where everyone can thrive. Becoming a Mind Matters school is a journey that involves staff, children, and parents alike. It’s not another task on the neverending To-Do-List. Rather it’s an integration of our Mind Wellbeing ethos into the whole school, aiming to alleviate pressure in what can be a stressful environment.
Our vision is to broaden the boundaries of traditional school environments, fostering a nurturing educational setting where emotions are openly discussed and handled with care. Here, everyone learns the art of responding to needs with empathy and understanding, fostering a culture of compassion and acceptance.

Delve into a joyful, and interactive workshop introducing children to the character of Wonder, embarking on a journey of noticing and identifying emotions using auditory, visual, and kinesthetic ways of learning.
-
We continue our journey with Wonder, learning how emotions travel within our body, and are temporary states. We begin to introduce children to the idea that emotions are purely energy in motion, encouraging children to notice and wonder about their emotions.
-
Wonder completes his journey of learning by highlighting how our feelings turn to thoughts that pop into our heads, and create the magical words that we use. We take a journey of noticing how different words make us feel, and the importance of choosing kind, compassionate words when communicating.

This workshop introduces students to the philosophy around Mind Matters. It brings awareness to the importance of language. We look at how we can use words, and form questions to create authentic, connecting communication. We also focus on anxiety, and methodologies we can use to understand, and reframe it to avoid it becoming overwhelming.
Wondering about our Teenagers?
It is no surprise that these challenging adolescent years feel even more difficult to navigate nowadays. The endless scrolling on social media can be isolating for teens. We offer training on a one-to-one and webinar basis outside of the school environment to provide understanding of emotional worlds, how to navigate and encourage communication and connection through the challenging times of approaching adulthood.
